About the Artist
I'm a California native through and through, but for the last two decades, Virginia's been my home sweet home.
I used to be all about that startup culture rush, and it was often hard to switch work off. "Play" was hardly in my vocabulary. But in 2020, my life did a 180, and I started an incredible journey of self-discovery. Along the way, I stumbled upon Transcendental Meditation, and experienced an unexpected emergence of creativity.
Even though I come from a family of artists, I never really saw myself as one. I can't pinpoint the exact moment it happened, but somewhere along the line, I felt this urge to try painting. I started with Mandala Rocks. I love the intricate geometric patterns. It's so relaxing to zone in and get lost in my thoughts. Then, while on a girls' weekend in Mendocino, my sister introduced me to her watercolor field kit, and bam, I was hooked. There's something magical about that brush stroking the paper, and the paint flowing like it knows where to go.
I believe that my return to playfulness is not only a sign of inner healing, but art is healing me from the inside out. I'm grateful to share this journey with you, and I hope I inspire you to find that spark of playfulness in yourself!
